OUR
SERVICES

Four core services — each delivered by our in-house team with no third-party middlemen. Whether you need workers tomorrow or a permanent hire next month, we handle it end-to-end.

01
Labour Hire

Flexible, on-demand supply of skilled and unskilled workers. Mobilise a single tradie or an entire crew — we match the right person to your project, fast. All workers are vetted, inducted and covered under our labour hire licence.

02
Permanent Recruitment

End-to-end permanent placement for trades and construction roles. We handle job advertising, candidate sourcing, multi-stage screening, reference checks and offer management — so you hire the right person the first time.

03
Payroll Services

Our dedicated in-house payroll team processes timesheets, wages, superannuation, tax and STP reporting for contractors and businesses. Accurate award interpretation, zero middlemen, single point of contact.

04
Qualitative Fit Testing

On-site and in-house qualitative fit testing for respiratory protective equipment (RPE). Ensure your workforce meets safety compliance obligations — PCBU-approved and conducted by trained assessors.

OUR
DIVISIONS

We recruit across seven specialist industry divisions. Each division is backed by consultants with deep sector knowledge — so we understand the roles, the licences, and what good looks like.

01
General Labour

Site labour for builders and head contractors — site cleans, manual handling, soft demolition works, landscape labouring and much more. Reliable, inducted workers ready to mobilise at short notice for any size project.

02
Skilled & Ticketed Labour

Licence-verified operators for builders and subcontractors: forklift drivers, manitou operators, hoist operators, EWP operators, dogman, scaffolders and first aiders. All tickets confirmed before placement.

03
Carpentry

Qualified carpenters for residential and commercial works — formwork, framing, fixing, fit-out and finishing. Supplied as individual trades or full carpentry crews to suit your project programme.

04
Shopfitting & Joinery

Skilled shopfitters, joiners and cabinet makers for retail, hospitality and commercial fit-outs. We supply full crews or individual trades to suit your programme and timeline.

05
Civil & Infrastructure

Plant operators, civil labourers, drainage crews and groundworkers for road, rail, utilities and large-scale infrastructure projects. All safety tickets verified.

06
Electrical

Licensed A-grade and apprentice electricians for industrial, commercial and residential projects. All licences, insurances and compliance documentation verified before placement.

07
Automotive

Auto mechanics and diesel mechanics for car dealerships, fleet operators and mechanical service centres across VIC, NSW and QLD. All trade qualifications verified before placement.

08
Landscaping & Horticulture

Grounds maintenance, soft landscaping and horticulture crews for commercial, residential and council contracts. Experienced in both ongoing maintenance and project-based work.

09
Demolition & Asbestos Removal

Experienced demolition labourers, asbestos supervisors and Class A & B removalists for residential and commercial projects. All workers hold the relevant licences with fit tests, asbestos medicals and full compliance documentation verified prior to placement.

We supply skilled, vetted labour at every stage of the build programme — our consultants understand construction sequencing, trade dependencies and programme pressure. We don't just fill roles — we keep your project moving.

Our Model

ONE CONSULTANT.
TOTAL OWNERSHIP.

At Dash Group, our consultants operate as true 360 Specialists — they own the relationship from first call to final placement and beyond. No handoffs. No dropped balls. One expert who knows your business inside out.

While most agencies split the job between a BDM, an account manager and a resourcer — creating gaps, delays and miscommunication — our 360 model keeps everything with one person who is fully accountable for your outcome.

They Know Your Business

Your 360 consultant takes the time to understand your site, your standards and your culture — so every worker they send is the right fit, not just available.

One Call Gets It Done

No being passed between departments. No repeating yourself. Your consultant handles everything — from the brief to the booking to the follow-up — in a single conversation.

Faster, Better Outcomes

Because your consultant owns both client and candidate relationships, they move faster and make better matches. Less back-and-forth, more workers on site — when you need them.

The Old Way — Traditional Agencies
BDM wins the deal, then hands you off
Resourcer who's never met you fills the role
Account manager in the middle managing both
Slow response, diluted accountability
Three people, three different versions of your brief
The Dash Group Way — 360 Specialist
One consultant owns the entire relationship
They source, vet and place — start to finish
Full accountability — one person, one outcome
Faster response, sharper brief, better match
Your consultant knows your site as well as you do

WORK

We don't just fill shifts. Every placement is backed by proper preparation, clear communication and a genuine commitment to keeping your site safe, compliant and running on schedule.

  • All licences, tickets & white cards verified
  • WHS obligations understood before placement
  • Drug & alcohol testing available
  • Qualitative fit testing on request

Site assessments are carried out when workers commence on site. Your consultant works with the host employer to ensure hazards are identified, inductions completed and WHS obligations are met from day one.

  • Site induction completed on commencement
  • Hazard identification carried out on arrival
  • SWMS reviewed and signed before work begins
  • PPE requirements confirmed on site
  • Host employer WHS obligations documented
Proper Job Briefs

  • Trade type, level and experience confirmed
  • Required tickets and licences specified
  • Tools, equipment and workwear requirements noted
  • Project scope and duration understood
  • No guesswork — fewer failed placements
Strong Communication

You always know where things stand. Your 360 consultant is your single point of contact — they answer the phone, solve problems fast and keep you informed before issues become incidents.

03
Interview

Let's get to know each other. We're interested in your work history, what you're looking for in a role and what makes you the right fit. Face-to-face interviews are arranged where applicable. Come prepared — research Dash Group, know your strengths and bring questions.

04
Paperwork & References

We take care of the formalities — reference checks, licence and ticket verification, right-to-work checks and any other compliance requirements. We'll also complete your onboarding documentation via FlareHR, including your Tax File Number declaration and superannuation fund details.

05
OH&S Induction

Safety first. Before any placement, you'll complete a Dash Group WHS induction covering site safety, hazard identification, incident reporting and your obligations as an on-hired worker. This ensures you're compliant and protected before you set foot on site.

06
Time to Work

You're matched to a role that fits your skills and location. Your consultant briefs you on the site, the host employer's requirements and what to bring on your first day. Full-time and casual hours available depending on the role.

First day checklist: White Card · Steel cap boots · Hi-vis top · Hard hat · Gloves · Signed Dash Group timesheet · Any required tickets or licences
07
After Care

Your dedicated Dash Group consultant stays in touch throughout your placement — communicating available shifts based on your skill set and location, providing performance feedback and working to keep you consistently employed. The better you perform, the more shifts and overtime come your way.

Sick Leave

Contact your site supervisor as soon as you know you're unable to attend. This gives the employer time to find cover. Note: casually employed on-hired employees are not paid for hours not worked due to sick leave. If you saw a doctor, get a medical certificate.

Common Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

General
What if I'm sick and cannot go to work?
Always contact your direct manager/supervisor as soon as you know you will be absent from work. This gives your employer time to find cover. Casually employed on-hired employees are not paid for hours not worked due to sick leave. If you've seen a doctor, we recommend getting a medical certificate.
If I work as a temp and want to leave, how much notice do I have to give?
Your employment contract outlines the required notice period. On-hired casual staff can have a notice period from 1 hour to 1 month depending on your role type. If you're unsure, speak to your Dash Group consultant. Working as a temp is also a great way to introduce yourself to an employer — if you do a great job, you may be considered for permanent opportunities.
If I am on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV), can I apply for a permanent role?
Probably not. However, we recommend speaking to an authorised migration agent about your specific case and situation, as visa conditions vary.
In case of an incident, who do I notify?
Report any incident or near miss to your supervisor and Dash Group — even if you weren't injured. Contact your Dash Group consultant immediately, or our OHS representative: Keren Lewinsohn at workcover@dashgroup.net.au.

Refer to our Return to Work Information sheet for further guidance.
$ Pay & Tax
What can I expect to be paid?
Your pay rate depends on your skills, experience, role, and location. Factors that influence your rate include: how long you've been with Dash Group, client feedback, your performance, and job location. A highly-skilled professional with their own equipment will earn more than a general labourer starting out.
What allowances can I claim?
Allowances depend on the job and award you're employed under. Some host employers offer meal or onsite allowances. Some staff receive a daily fares and travel allowance. Speak to your Dash Group consultant to understand what applies to your role.
Do I need a Tax File Number?
Yes. Your TFN is required to commence employment with Dash Group. You'll complete a Tax File Number Declaration form via the FlareHR onboarding process. Visit the ATO website if you need help completing your declaration.
What about superannuation?
Dash Group pays super at the current rate of 12% of your salary, You can choose any fund — the construction industry fund is CBUS (cbussuper.com.au). Provide your super details via FlareHR when you start.
Do you provide overtime work?
Yes — when available. Overtime depends on the host employer. Those who perform well get offered overtime first. It's paid at penalty rates. The best way to get overtime is to consistently show up and perform.
